Yaaaaaawn! Wake up, sleepy head! While you've been snoozing in the loft, other equestrians at Lakeside Riding Center have been getting time in the saddle. Shimmy down the ladder and hurry to the stalls, where your horse is nibbling hay and waiting patiently. Ooooh, maybe after practicing your saddle gait you could take a trail ride to the Rider Café (playset sold separately) for a slice of fresh-baked apple pie! It's gonna be a fully day at Lakeside!

After a restful night in the chicken coop, the rooster hops to the rooftop to welcome the morning sun. Cock-a-doodle-doo! Mother hen is the first to awaken...she's already pecking for seeds and grain. Open the roof of the Mobile Chicken Coop and peek inside...oooh, look! There are eggs in the nest! The cutest chick ever is hungry for breakfast. What will your farm animals do today? Farmer Paul always has his hands full. The pigs are grunting loudly and want to be fed, and the cow in the barn is already looking pretty hungry. But before Farmer Paul feeds her some hay, the little calf gets its milk from the bottle.The spirited Iceland Pony loves to ride out and gallop across the meadows. But even more than that, it loves to come home afterwards and rest in its cozy box. There are even a few crunchy green apples ready in the trough. By the way, the cozy pony box can be combined with the large stable.

When Mr. Kramer and Hannah go on vacation, it goes without saying that the Cocker Spaniel and their Quarter Horse mare come along, too. Luckily they have a large caravan and they can all fit in it. Mr. Kramer attaches the trailer to his SUV, and Hannah packs the saddle, bridle and horse care accessories. That way, she can take the mare out for a ride and explore the area along the way. At night, the mare is cozy under her sunshade in the pasture, while the others make themselves comfortable on the couch inside. What a great way to travel!

The rider comes back from a ride through the forest and rewards the Icelandic Pony mare with fresh hay and a few crunchy apples. The vet comes to examine the little Hanoverian foal. It injured its leg when frolicking in the meadow. The foal is sure to recover well with the bandage and a little rest, and will soon be back frolicking in the meadow with the Icelandic Pony foal. The English thoroughbred mare enjoys fresh carrots while the rider brushes her coat until it shines.

Finally! Hannah, Sofia and Tom can practice new tricks! Hannah gets her pretty white Oldenburg mare, saddles her up and puts the bridle on. She wants to vault with Tom today. He has already hung a new exercise movement on the board and attached the clipboards with letters to the hoardings. Let's see what dressage movements Hannah and her horse will be rehearsing today. Meanwhile, Sofia takes care of her faithful Haflinger mare. They want to practice jumping today. It's working out quite well with the Cavaletti, but they still need to train a little with the harder obstacles. After the riding session there is a delicious reward: an apple for Sofia and a carrot for the horse. Or maybe two?

The new colourful horse stable offers lots of fun features and provides endless fun for little ones! When Farmer Paul looks out of the window of his big red farmhouse in the mornings, his animals are already wide awake. So even before he gets to eat his own breakfast, he makes sure to feed the cow, calf, pig and piglet. The cat also gets a saucer of milk, although it was supposed to catch the curious mouse in the hayloft. Once all the animals are fed, Farmer Paul uses the winch to move the hay to the hayloft. He drives the animals out to pasture so that he can clean the stalls properly. The dove watches him from its little house on the roof and sometimes coos, "You've missed a bit!"

Farmer Paul always has his hands full. The pigs are grunting loudly and want to be fed, and the cow in the barn is already looking pretty hungry. But before Farmer Paul feeds her some hay, the little calf gets its milk from the bottle. All the animals come into the barn to eat. Especially the pigs, hoping for a juicy apple or a crunchy carrot. He has even built the doves their own house, called a dovecote, where they like to hide from the cat when it comes slinking around. Pretty nifty! Be at the secret meeting place in an hour...this is gonna be big! A friend from the stables has a birthday coming up and the caravan is the perfect place to plan an epic surprise party. Oh dear, the Tennessee Walker foal has been injured. It’s limping and needs to be examined urgently. It’s so lucky that the mobile vet with her trailer is not far away. Mrs. Kramer arrives soon in her pick-up truck. The first thing she does is to take an X-ray. Luckily, nothing is broken. She puts some ointment on the leg and then carefully applies an adhesive bandage. As a reward, she holds out a carrot to the foal. There you go, at least it’s eating! The little one will soon be completely healthy again.

Because she loves it so much, Betty the groom gives her Friesian mare Raja another good brush. The horse can sense that something special is happening today. And she's right: today, Raja is being taken to her new stall. After she has been properly tended to, Betty leads her carefully into the spacious horse box. Raja has a calm and peaceful temperament, but it still makes her very excitable. Then Betty gets into the pick-up and they slowly set off from the stables. During the journey, the mare looks around curiously. They will soon be at the new stall - and then, first things first, Raja will be allowed out onto the paddock.

What has Flynn brought back from his research mission? He has just captured a dangerous Dakotaraptor and loaded it into the cage on the track vehicle. From the safety of his vehicle, he could elevate the cab to get a great view of his surroundings and spotted the dinosaur from above. Then he positioned the tornado gun on the roof and waited for the right moment to stun the dinosaur. Hit by the tornado gun, the Dakotaraptor was quite tame and could be loaded into the cage. Pretty clever!

The dinosaur has injured itself. Naturally, Flynn rushes over immediately. He jumps into his helicopter, puts on his helmet and flies over the Amazon. Right there! He can see the dino! He lands and skillfully throws a rope around the long neck of the prehistoric giant. That way he can take a closer look and examine it. Sarah enjoys her time in Lakeside’s Open Stable “Little Horseshoe”. The horses are particularly happy here because they are outside so much. When Sarah opens the gate to the paddock, the friendly Haflinger mare comes straight towards her. Sarah gives her a carrot and then puts the saddle on her. She would love to go for a ride today, but the foal is still a bit too young. Later Sarah will put the lead rope on her and get her used to it gradually. Just make sure the gate is locked! Otherwise the little one might bolt if it is startled.

Come on, now! The horse is impatiently pawing with its hooves. It finally wants to get rid of the bridle and take off its warm horse blanket. The door of the box is still closed, so it will have to be patient for a while. Luckily, its friend the dog is waiting in the dog kennel next to it, helping time pass more quickly. Finally! Bridle and blanket are gone and the horsebox is open. Come on, off to pasture! Before anyone changes their mind, the dog quickly fetches a stick to play with.

Calmly and carefully, the veterinarian leads the foal into the mobile X-ray machine: Phew, nothing is broken. Now the injured animal is given some medicine for the pain. After the shock, the foal definitely deserves a bunch of fresh carrots. Look, she's already feeling much better and is off to chase some butterflies. All in a day's work for the well-trained horse veterinarian.

Dino researcher Luis specially developed a tranquilizer cannon to be attached to the helicopter. Luis takes to the air to take a round flight in his helicopter. But be careful! A large Tapejara isn't at all pleased to find the helicopter has entered its territory, and immediately takes chase. Luis skillfully uses the control stick to make a fast 180 degree turn. The Tapejara tries to swerve but Luis activates the tranquilizer dart and net perfectly. The dinosaur is caught and can be easily carried with the winch on the helicopter.

During agility training, the ponies playfully familiarise themselves with a variety of obstacles. First, they are allowed to sniff them up and down. Then, the ponies are carefully led over, through and around them. For some obstacles, the ponies need to muster up a lot of courage. At such times it is important to be patient and lovingly encourage them.

If you're not careful, you can easily be blinded by the radiant appearance of the Chinese messenger of the sky. The sun glitters on the lizard's skin and the golden spikes on its back reflect its rays. The bringer of luck was inspired directly by the Year of the Dragon. Hopefully it will stick around for a while, because it looks great with those fiery red stripes along its back and the red markings on its head. It certainly knows how to defend itself with its sharp claws. Yet, it's usually it's very friendly, as you can see by the expression in its pretty green eyes. All she needs is a name. There's space on the sign outside the box. Who's got an idea? 

What’s that noise? You can hear the friendly moon lion coming from afar, its mighty wings beating through the night sky. The moon lion flies through the darkness of BAYALA® and keeps an eye on things. It always follows its nose. As long as it is circling the skies above BAYALA® you can be sure that everything is fine. All the inhabitants can sleep peacefully. He shines in the dark just like the moon.

Although the Tyrannosaurus Rex looked quite threatening, it could hardly use its front legs armed with just two claws since they did not even reach his mouth. Nearly seven metres tall and thirteen metres long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a very skilled hunter, but rather a scavenger which probably fed on the leavings of other animals. It had more than fifty teeth measuring more than 15 centimetres in length which it used not for chewing but rather for tearing, since it swallowed its food in large chunks. To improve depth-perception when searching for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were oriented toward the front such that the fields of vision of both eyes overlapped.

Ice World vs. Lava World! It looks dangerous when the Ice Bug and the Fire Kraken fight each other. I wonder who is the stronger of the two? It's hard to tell, because they both look so scary. The Ice Bug keeps trying to grab the Fire Kraken with its sharp claws. But it defends itself with its flaming tentacles. The Ice Bug tries to dodge its countless suction arms, because they burn like fire and have dangerous pincers at the ends. This will be some fight!

There is a buzzing in the air: The crystal dragon shoots through the skies of BAYALA® at full speed. It hugs its wings close to its slender body so that it can go faster. It looks like a blue arrow. Where is it going in such a hurry? But the crystal dragon can also go slow: On calm days, it spreads its elegant wings and sails high up through the thermals. Then it can be seen from afar and attracts admiring glances. It looks wonderful!

Gracefully, the Magic Peacock spreads its transparent wings to take to the skies. From up there, the Magic Peacock has everything in view - wonderful! It circles above our heads, gazing down on the meadows and forests below. Suddenly it feels like doing something crazy and does a loop with its moving wings. It can do some great acrobatics in the air. What a pleasure to watch it sailing through the clouds. Maybe it can carry someone on its back on its next adventurous flight?

Threateningly, the Shadow Lynx opens its huge jaws to reveal its powerful fangs. But the Rock Crusher doesn't retreat one step. On the contrary: It comes closer and closer on its powerful clawed feet, waving its thick tail menacingly back and forth. This one is studded with transparent crystals that could be quite dangerous to its attacker! Then the Shadow Lynx raises its huge paw and tries to strike a blow at the Rock Crusher with its sharp claws. But it dodges unexpectedly fast, baring its teeth. It's hard to tell who the winner will be!

The Hippogriff Buckbeak™ has long, curved grey-black wings. He impresses with his powerful hooves and sharp talons.

Pitch-black and silent, the Dementor™ floats in with his cape fluttering behind. He seems to be heading for Hogwarts. I wonder who he's got in mind there? You certainly don't want to bump into him at night - he is so creepy and very dangerous! He robs his enemies of their souls. Terrible! I wonder if he can be stopped with the right spell?

The king of the dinosaurs was once one of the largest land predators. It could grow to be up to thirteen meters in length and seven meters high. Given its size and mass, the T-Rex was probably not a hunter, but more likely a scavenger. It is presumed that the T-Rex had an exceptional sense of smell, with which it could detect carrion from a great distance.

With his ultra-hot fiery breath, he can even melt stones - something which often makes the stone monster see red! The closer he is to the lava source in the temple, the stronger he is. It is also so nice and warm there!

These penguin kids are pretty wild! The older penguin just can't get enough of the ice slide. Again and again it hurtles down the slippery ice chute. And splash - it lands in the water. It quickly swims back over to the ice floe with the slide. Wait what's that cracking sound? Oh, the little baby penguin is hatching from its egg! It wants to join in the penguin family fun right away. Look how cute it is, waddling awkwardly up the slope to get to the ice seesaw.

The fiery lava jet races at full speed through the lava world of ELDRADOR®. It trails a huge cloud of smoke behind it, which can be seen far and wide. But the Mini Creature behind the wheel is in a foul mood: It has inserted an arrow into the firearm and is pivoting it back and forth threateningly. It’s ready to shoot down anyone who gets in the way. Take cover!

The Mini Creature whizzes past you in its ice jet like an ice storm. It looks pretty cool, because there are sparkling ice crystals on the jet. But you should still take cover, as the Mini Creature is unpredictable. If it doesn’t like something, it immediately fires its swivel gun. Once shot, there is no escape from the sharp arrow with the ice crystal. Save yourself if you can!

Help, where did it suddenly come from? The mean little Mini Creature appears out of nowhere, driving its jungle jet. It looks so mean and certainly not ready to be friends. On the contrary: It inserts the pointed arrow with the crystal into the firearm and gets into position. What is it up to? Maybe it’s best not to find out and take a hike instead...Take cover!

Watch out, here comes the stone jet! Better not get in the way! Without hesitation, the Mini Creature rams into every obstacle to create a clear path for itself. The Night Sky Dragon looks quite impressive with the golden star on his forehead, his dark purple scale armor and his bright, transparent wings. Its tail is adorned with golden curls that flicker like flames. But if you look at the night sky dragon's face, you want to be its friend. Adventurously, he stretches his short snout into the air. Who wants to climb onto his magnetic back and mount the golden saddle? Go ahead: Then it goes high into the air. Yippee, what an adventure!

The ice griffin has several pointy weapons to neutralise its enemies: in a duel, it first pierces the attacker's armour with its many, pointed claws, then it pecks at him with its massive, sharp beak. Sometimes it might do things in the opposite order, depending on what it feels like. What's more, the cold-blooded monster has six razor-sharp ice feathers on each of its mighty wings, which it uses to keep enemies at a distance. But sometimes it's already enough when it caws with deafening noise - because the sound is ear-piercing! Its opponents thus often choose to take off into the distance! It forms an ice-cold team together with the ice dragon, which rules over the bone-chilling heights of the ice world.

The first sign of danger in ELDRADOR® isn't a shriek or the roar of battle. It's the dark...when the sunlight vanishes in mid-day and the air grows still. In that eerie quiet, terror takes shape in the shadows. Black of night arcs across the sky, the haunting silhouette of an awakened legend: the Shadow Dragon.

His watchful eyes don't miss a thing: High above the volcanoes of the lava world, the fire eagle by schleich® ELDRADOR® CREATURES circles majestically through the air. His movable wings ensure that the skillful bird has plenty of propulsive force and easily masters complicated flight manoeuvres. The fire eagle perceives even the smallest movements on the ground - and if it's an intruder, the bird of prey doesn't hesitate for long: He spans his movable, transparent wings and dives toward the enemy. He pulls a glowing, blazing tail behind him, making him look like a falling comet. The fire eagle has razor-sharp claws, which he mercilessly grips with. Another weapon he uses in attacks is his curved, pointed beak. As a crowning glory, the fire eagle creates a massive firestorm with his wings, which simply sweeps his enemies away.

The magnificent Phoenix majestically spreads its wings. Is it about to take into the skies? From up there, it has all of BAYALA® in its sights. Nothing escapes its large, dark eyes. The awe-inspiring silhouette can be seen from near and far as it circles in the sky. Its plumage is such a bright yellow that it competes with the sun, and the tips of its primary feathers have a reddish tinge. Landing, it fans out the magnificent tail feathers and looks around inquisitively with a friendly gaze. Where are its playmates?

The Thestral only manifests for people who have already had a brush with death. When it shows up, it's a bit creepy, as the thestral looks like a pitch-black horse skeleton with bat wings. Would you like a ride on this ghost horse? Maybe keeping your distance is not a bad idea.

The Ice Dragon circles high above ELDRADOR®. Nothing that moves on the ground below can escape its beady and sharp gaze. Is danger lurking down there? The dragon does not hesitate: It folds its silver wings close to its body and plunges into the depths. The attacker on the ground won't know what hit it. As if from out of nowhere, the Ice Dragon appears, shaking its silver mane. It opens its beak to reveal a set of needle-sharp teeth. Threateningly, the dragon flexes its muscles and tears deep furrows in the ground with its claws. Together with its comrades-in-arms, Ice Monster and Snow Wolf, it's off to battle they go! (Figures sold separately.)

The Jungle Dragon has a firm grip on the Jungle World. No one dares dispute its supremacy. Why? Just one look at those powerful jaws, ready to crush anything, is enough. It bares its needle-sharp teeth threateningly. Anyone who gets too close is in danger of a painful blow from that powerful tail. It's even covered in sharp spikes for good measure. The dragon is better viewed from a distance, like when he spreads his huge wings and soars into the air. That's also its favorite place to be, because, from up there, it can keep an eagle eye on ELDRADOR®.

The animals in the forest are happy as can be, because they can always find something to eat in the feeding trough. There's something for everyone: the Red Deer Doe and her calf are happy about the food pellets, but they both also enjoy crunchy carrots. The shy hedgehog also likes to come by. The squirrel slips curiously through the feed hatch into the manger. Maybe it will find a nut? In any case, it has found a cozy hiding place under the roof. Up there, it can also see the forest farmer coming along in his car (playset sold separately).

Watch out! You can see from afar that the huge Limited-Edition Midnight Giganotosaurus is not in a joking mood. Its enormous head seems to consist only of teeth. And it is only too happy to bare its dangerous, pointed fangs. It opens its mighty jaws and roars so loudly that even the trees are shaking. It's probably looking for prey to flush out. Once it has startled the other animals, it chases them through the jungle on its powerful hind feet at a speed of up to 50 km/h. It won't rest until it has caught something. High time to get out of here!

Two beautiful mythological creatures are competing in a test of aquatic agility and speed. In lane 1, it's the unicorn with the tail fin of a mermaid. In lane 2, it's the hippocampus - part horse, part fish. They crouch eagerly at the starting line. A gurgle of bubbles signals the start of the race...and there they go! Who will win this underwater obstacle course? You decide!

You enter the barrel racing arena at a full run aboard your Appaloosa, hurtling toward the first barrel. Will you go left or right? Hug the barrel tight as you make your first circle, then race hard to the second and third barrel. The crowd roars as your mare bolts towards the finish line. You dismount, gasping for breath, and wait to hear your time...and then? What happens next in your story?

A Quarter horse foal has been born and Sarah is bottle-feeding it! The mare allows Sarah to approach and to groom the foal with the massage brush. Sarah completely forgets the time while brushing the foal. When she remembers, she rushes immediately to the puppy, who is just a few days old. The puppy is snuggled up in the fleecy blanket in its basket and eagerly awaiting its bottle.

The Australian Shepherd is a very sporty, energetic dog. It loves being outside and herding sheep. The new kennel offers it protection from wind and rain. In order to keep out the cold weather, the kennel is insulated with a thick, warm layer of padding.

The half-giant Hagrid™ provides comfort for Harry Potter™ with his gentle spirit. Hagrid's™ beloved dog Fang, is not as fierce as he looks and often seems terrified of any sign of danger.

The Lava Smasher from schleich® ELDRADOR® CREATURES radiates so much heat that (almost) no one dares to get close. Because attackers know that everything the blazing giant touches goes up in flames. His massive body is made of molten lava rock, and a blazing mane roars on his head. Despite being so massive, the Lava Smasher is extremely agile, making him a fiendish opponent. The fact that he can completely rotate his upper body means that he never misses the slightest movement. Anyone who comes close to him is immediately discovered. With his movable arms, he grabs the enemy like lightning and shakes them hard. The Lava Smasher can also move his jaw: As soon as he opens his sparking mouth, his blazing fiery breath escapes - and it not only smells of burned rock, it's also unbearably hot!

The legendary jungle creature from schleich® ELDRADOR® CREATURES lurks in the deepest undergrowth of the jungle. The very sight of it has its enemies cowering in terror: the mighty monster can swing its giant long vines in all directions, while its rotating tail is studded with poisonous thorns, and he lashes out at his attackers with it without warning. Thanks to all these weapons, the creature is unassailable in battle, taking on multiple opponents. The king of the jungle tends only to emerge when intruders are threatening danger. And they'd better look out: the jungle creature's legs and the horns on his monstrous skull are made of super-hard ironwood that can penetrate any armour-plating.

Incredibly dangerous - and very patient: the lava scorpion lurks well hidden in the rugged rocks of the lava world, waiting for its victims, and is ready to attack at all times. Its shell is made from hard, cooled lava stone, but liquid hot lava is bubbles inside of it. If an enemy gets too close to it, it attacks them without warning with his red-hot, ultra-strong pincers. If its prey doesn't hold still, it will feel a burning sting. In combat against multiple attackers, the lava scorpion also uses its huge stinger, which it can swing around like a terrible club in all directions. Because it can defend itself so well, it fears nothing and no one. So it always claims, at least. Because there is one creature it is in fact secretly afraid of: the ice dragon, with its icy breath, is a formidable enemy - and might blow the lava scorpion into an ice statue!

You can often hear the fierce colossus from afar - when he moves, all of ELDRADOR® shakes! Because the stone monster is so gigantic and heavy, he can only move slowly. He is also not particularly bright - but for that extremely strong! He can rotate his upper body around its axis, meaning he can cause a lot of harm and damage with his mighty stone fists. He gains his strength from the large crystal which he also uses as a dangerous weapon. He gets stronger and stronger each day because he eats more and more crystals from the stone world. He has now polished off so many that they are even growing out of his back! His greatest enemy is himself. He is actually practically invincible. But if he falls over, it takes ages for him to get up again because of his weight...

What looks like a tropical tree is actually our Jungle Emperor from the schleich® ELDRADOR® theme world. Thanks to his branches, the transformation artist can camouflage himself perfectly and blend into the surroundings. This means that he can suddenly surprise his opponents in battle or to escape doing the dishes. He uses the large shield on his left arm to ward off attackers or as a table during long train journeys. His hand is perfect for holding lianas or pencils and run through the children's room until he camouflages and hides in your pencil case. He waits there patiently until it's time for sport and he can run again.

The Carcharodontosaurus is also known as the sharp-toothed lizard, which sums up this handsome dinosaur pretty well. It has two rows of extraordinarily sharp fangs in its movable jaw. The carnivore also needs them to dismember its prey. When it is hungry, it pursues its dinner persistently until he has snatched it. With its long hind legs, it’s quite fast when it comes to hunting. Best only meet up with the Carcharodontosaurus when it has already had its dinner!

The vet sets out with her vet's bag to the stable to take care of the quarter horse foal. While the vet treats the foal, changes its bandage and listens to its heart with her stethoscope, the quarter horse mare looks on curiously. Of course, she is also concerned that nothing happens to her foal. The cheeky piglet from the farm is also there and takes advantage of the opportunity to eat a few juicy apples while no one else is watching. Brachiosaurus translated means "arm lizard". It acquired the name, because its front legs were significantly longer than its hind legs. As such, its long neck pointed automatically upwards and it could eat taller plants with less effort.

Our Majungasaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS is one of the slowest dinosaurs in a sprint, but is still a huge fan of racecars. The lack of speed is because it is a very strong dinosaur, but doesn't have the right legs for its height. It also brings quite a lot to the scales - when grown up, your prehistoric friend weighs as much as two elephants. That and its length of just under eight meters means that it usually brings up the rear in the monthly dinosaur toy race. On the other hand, it's incredibly fast at mental arithmetic. It usually has its homework done before the math book is even opened. This means it can head off to lunch a few minutes before the others and isn't the last to arrive when they're serving its favorite food.

From the powerful tip of its tail to its elongated head, the Tarbosaurus grows to be twelve meters long! This makes it one of the largest dinosaurs around. Its head hovers a lofty five meters above the ground! No wonder it has to eat so much. It loves to snatch smaller dinos for supper with its sharp teeth and flexible jaws. The Tarbosaurus runs after its prey on strong legs until it catches them, so it's best to stay on its good side!

The keeper is outside with the Andalusian on the training course. Today all jumps are going really well. Once the noble horse has completed its training for today, it gets a few treats as a reward and is then groomed and brushed. Andalusians are simply beautiful animals.

Minerva McGonagall energetically raises her wand. She mumbles the challenging patronus spell as she teaches it to her students at Hogwarts. Even she is never alone: her personal patronus is a cat. It stands by her in any battle between the wizards and witches. Challengers should think twice before taking on these two!

It had more than fifty teeth measuring more than 15 centimetres in length which it used not for chewing but rather for tearing, since it swallowed its food in large chunks. To improve depth-perception when searching for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were oriented toward the front such that the fields of vision of both eyes overlapped.

A Pegasus is a magical creature and all elves know this. But Surah only knows how magical it really is since becoming its friend. The Tyrannosaurus rex looked very menacing, but was hardly capable of using it short front legs equipped with two claws, as they could not even reach its mouth. At nearly seven metres in height and thirteen metres long, the Tyrannosaurus rex was probably not a particularly good hunter, but rather a scavenger that fed on what other animals left behind. It had over fifty teeth, measuring over 15 cm in length, but it didn't use them to chew, but to tear, swallowing its food in large pieces. In order to better perceive depths while hunting for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus rex were pointed forwards, allowing the field of vision of its eyes to overlap.

The Carnotaurus is a meat-eating predator from the Late Cretaceous. It lived about 70 million years ago. The only skeleton ever found of it was dug up in Argentina. The Carnotaurus was 9 metres in length and estimated to weigh 1.5 to 2 tonnes. Its snout was more rounded than that of its relatives and its teeth looked like crooked knife blades. It was undoubtedly one of the most dangerous predators of its time.

The Dunkleosteus lived 130-150 million years before the first dinosaurs. It was a fearless hunter who could snap incredibly fast and ate large sharks, and even its own kind if no other prey was to be found. Fossils of fish, which were only half digested, have often been discovered alongside its skeleton. Scientists therefore believe that the armoured fish was not able to chew very well and swallowed it prey in large pieces. It was named after the palaeontologist David Dunkle. The word "osteos" is Greek for "bone".

The four animal friends have come together from all corners of Asia. The female orangutan from Borneo dreamily scratches her reddish-brown fur with her movable arm. The giant panda with the pretty black and white markings on its fur and the funny spots around its eyes actually lives in China. But it has been spotted in children's rooms all over the world. The sweet tiger cub, with its cute striped fur, is at home all over Asia. And then there's the friendly baby elephant from Southeast Asia. It clearly feels at home together with its friends.

What an interesting bunch of animals! A zebra, a lion, an elephant and a chimpanzee – what on earth do they have in common? Of course! They all come from Africa! The lion is king of the animal world. No wonder, with his majestic mane and beautiful shining coat, loping majestically through the savannah. When the lion approaches, the zebra pricks up its ears and is ready to make a run for it. Normally, the two only spend time together at the watering hole. The little baby elephant isn't worried about the lion. It just wants to play with its friends. In real life the chimpanzee cub rarely gets to see a lion because it lives in the dense forests of Africa, far from the savannah. It spends its days swinging from tree to tree and performing daring antics.

Who gets to ride out today? The Paso Peruano pair loves to be out and about. The proud Paso Peruano stallion is already prancing around the yard in anticipation. How elegant he looks! No wonder he regularly gets to take part in tournaments. With his blond mane and gracefully curved neck, he catches everyone's eye. He paws a little impatiently: Is he allowed out now? But the chances are better for his partner today, the pretty Paso Peruano mare. She is already groomed and her coat is so shiny. Her mane is also beautifully braided. She keeps a watchful eye on what's going on across the yard. I wonder if it's her turn soon? She is already wearing the saddle and bridle. It can't be long now. What a beautiful day!

Whenever Eyela saddles the golden unicorn, she wonders what adventures await her. The magic unicorn has very special skills and surprises the crown princess again every time with new feats. However, the golden unicorn stops by the royal court only on special days and can only be ridden by Eyela.

The huge Brachiosaurus can be seen from far and wide: As high as a house, its long neck juts out above the treetops. What is it doing there anyway? With its sharp teeth, it plucks leaves and twigs from the branches. It's rarely disturbed during mealtimes, and not just because of its size. The prehistoric giant is covered from head to the tip of its tail in fiery red lizard skin. It's a clever way for the Brachiosaurus to keep attackers at bay. But, as a vegetarian, it's not usually in the mood for a fight.

Although Mia is only eight years old, she's not at all afraid of horses. One day, she's determined to ride horses as big as the ones that Hannah, her older sister and role model, rides. Although Mia and her three-year-old Shetland pony mare Spotty look very sweet together, they're far more devious than appearances suggest.

Tori is happy: Finally, she's back in the stable with her Friesian Mare Princess. This is where she feels most at home. Today they want to go for a ride together. She spreads a saddle blanket on the mare's back and puts the saddle on. Last of all she puts the bridle on the horse. Of course, Tori is careful and always wears a helmet. Before she rides off, there is one thing left to do: She braids Princess's hair and ties bows in her black mane. It looks beautiful, doesn't it?

Who's that coming around the corner? You can tell it's the Allosaurus from afar, thanks to its heavy footsteps. Standing tall, the giant walks on two legs through the jungle, looking for prey. Although it is so big, it's pretty well camouflaged. In fact, its lizard skin is patterned so that it blends in perfectly with its surroundings. It inspects the area with beady yellow eyes. Let's hope it doesn't suddenly decide it wants a snack! No wonder this fearsome carnivore is one of the most dangerous predators in the dinosaur world.

In BAYALA® you can hear cheerful beeping sounds, because the hatching baby owls are playing merrily in the tree and in the nest. The two little birds, freshly hatched from the egg, romp around wildly in their warm nest so that the feathers fly. The beautiful tree, which is nicely decorated with flowers, berries and leaf tendrils, is sometimes shaking. Even a star dangles from a branch and at the foot of the tree there is a magic crystal. The little baby owls even have a slide, which they like to whizz down with funny beeping. It never gets boring in this nest. And you can hear that very far. The owl chicks look really cute when playing and enchant the whole fairy kingdom.

The training for winged baby lions is a great event in BAYALA®. Because the two baby lions want to fly majestically through the air soon. But since they still have small wings, they playfully train their flying skills on the ground. They have an arch with two podiums and a ring through which they can run, jump or fly. But that's not all: with one paw, the baby lions can turn everything around and turn it into a seesaw on which they can swing merrily and romp wildly. While they practice their tricks, many funny things happen and sometimes a baby lion falls out of the busket. All BAYALA hears its happy meowing and is delighted by the cute winged kittens.

The rider is out in the dressage arena with her Lipizzaner mare. They train almost every day, refining the different dressage movements step by step. The beautiful mare is a keen learner, and so they both enjoy honing their skills. There's another show coming up - and this time, they intend to win. The rider loves her mare, and always gives her a carrot or another treat whenever she gets a dressage movement right. If they keep going like this, they can definitely win the show.

The ginger-haired and humorous Ron Weasley™ is Harry's first friend at Hogwarts. Throughout their years at school, Ron remains a key ally to Harry and is instrumental in their quest to destroy Lord Voldemort. Meanwhile, Scabbers™ the rat is often dismissed as quite useless.

The movable jaw of the Mosasaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS contains many pointy teeth. When hunting prey such as fish or turtles, the dinosaur opened its mouth very wide and bit down powerfully. The shape of its teeth means that it probably didn't chew, and simply swallowed. As an adaptation to the habitat, its front and hind legs transformed into fins. Who’s galloping up to us right now? It's Hannah and Cayenne! Hannah is at least as spirited as her bay Quarter Horse gelding. Both love to dash across the meadows at a fast gallop. As a precaution, Hannah has tied her hair into a thick braid and pushed her cool cowboy hat low over her face. It would be a shame if she lost her trademark on the way!

Lisa and Storm are great friends. But they are much more than that: Together they are also very successful at tournaments and have already won lots of prizes. To keep it that way, the two train diligently in Peppertree’s indoor arena. Today is no exception. The black Hanoverian gelding trots a few laps around the arena to warm up. The real action is about to start!

Sofia and Blossom are once again the stars of the Peppertree indoor arena. The snow-white Arabian mare with her graceful gait is already a beauty. But Sofia takes great pleasure in making her horse even prettier. She is always coming up with new hairstyles. Today, Blossom has pink flowers in her lush, white mane. To keep their hairstyles in place, the two of them prefer to keep a slower pace today.

The golden retriever comes running out from behind the pretty dog kennel, looking curious. Who's coming to visit? She keeps a close eye on who is on the farm. She taught her cute little puppy to do the same. But maybe the golden retrievers just want to persuade the guests to play a game? There is a stick just waiting to be thrown. Who wants to play?

In the rabbit hutch, the lionhead rabbit watches its two kids playing. They are using the hollow tree trunk to hop around in. They haven't discovered the slide yet, which mom is very happy about. She doesn't want them going too crazy, because they are still young. She tries to keep them close by offering them a crunchy carrot. Although it smells wonderful, the two little ones would much rather carry on romping around. Maybe she'll have better luck with some lettuce?

The Edmontosaurus really is a giant at a height of 13 meters. But it's really friendly. You can see that right away. The Edmontosaurus is also rather pretty: it has a striking cockscomb on its head and a long neck. Its favorite thing to do is to take a leisurely stroll through the woods and meadows and have a nibble on the bushes there. But because it's so big, it takes ages to finish its meal of leaves and twigs. Maybe you can keep it company?

Anyone venturing into the shadow world should take good care. The nasty shadow worm is aways lurking around here. With its agile, fully mobile joints, it slithers through the shadow world at lightning speed. It can even dig through the earth in no time at all. So you don’t notice anything until it suddenly shoots out of the ground in front of you. That can be scary! Hissing, it opens its mouth, filled with pointed teeth, with red eyes glowering. Let’s get out of here!

The Giganotosaurus looks very similar to the T-rex. Both were dreaded hunters, had very short arms, walked on two legs and had a large skull. However, the Giganotosaurus lived much earlier and was at home in North America, whereas the Tyrannosaurus rex lived in South America.

The long, narrow and flat head of the baryonyx from schleich® DINOSAURS is similar to that of a crocodile, making it an especially exciting prehistoric reptile. This dinosaur is believed to have hunted primarily in the water, and could immerse its perfectly shaped snout into the water to catch fish. It also had unusually large and heavy hook-shaped thumb claws to grab prey.

When the cryolophosaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS opens its movable jaw you can see its dangerous teeth! In the Early Jurassic epoch it was the largest carnivorous dinosaur and is the first dinosaur whose fossils were found in Antarctica. When it roamed the earth this part of the earth was not yet covered in ice. Instead it was covered with forests, though in the winter months temperatures dropped to under zero, which was extremely cold for dinosaurs.

The long, narrow spines of the agustinia make it look so unique that it is impossible to mix up with any other dinosaur. It was also covered with unusual-looking ossified skin plates. As a harmless herbivore it probably needed the spines and plates to protect against other carnivorous dinosaurs. The agustinia from schleich® DINOSAURS is also always ready to defend itself!

The Brontosaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS has a long tail, an enormous body and a narrow neck. The dinosaur grew to around 15 tons and 22 m. While skeletons of the Brontosaurus have been found, scientists have never found a skull. It probably had a small head similar to the Apatosaurus. The name Brontosaurus means "thunder lizard." Scientists used to believe that the dinosaur snapped its tail like a whip.

The prehistoric Parasaurolophus could walk on either two legs or four...although this one prefers to ride a skateboard. If you're looking for a dinosaur gift, this hard-headed herbivore is a strong contender.

It also needs a substantial meal if it wants to maintain its weight – a remarkable 4,000 kilograms. To ensure that no one disturbs it while dining, it has deterrent spines along its neck and back. While it appears to be pretty fierce, it's actually quite a nice dino. It just likes to have a little peace and quiet while eating...

With a single flap of its wings, the flying horse soars up from the ground and quickly vanishes beyond the horizon with a dazzling trail of light. No other being in BAYALA can fly as high and fast as a pegasus. And almost no other creature is as noble or beautiful. If you see one in the sky, it looks like a shooting star. Very few elves have ever been allowed to ride a pegasus. Only those who are chosen can sit on its back and fly from one place to another at incredible speeds.

The gigantic colossus is a real hothead: on the inside, he is made of red-hot magma; on the outside he is covered by strong cooled lava plates which protect him like armour. He becomes irritated extremely easily and doesn't waste time when it comes to putting his enemies in their place with his mighty lava axe. The weapon is so hot that he is the only one that can carry it! But he doesn't always use his axe. Anyone who gets in his way will get a taste of his mighty fists without any advance warning! But quick opponents know how to freeze the super-strong giant in his tracks: because he is so heavy, he can't run particularly fast. However, you should avoid getting your fingers burned by him...

Nobody is as cold to their opponents as he is. He is a tough and tenacious warrior who never runs out of breath, even during long duels. Anyone who doesn't watch out will immediately feel the effects of the strong fists of the gruff ice monster. With his mighty ice hammer, he can also freeze objects within seconds and then shatter them into a thousand pieces. As water is his element, he is, of course, a good swimmer and can even lie in wait for his enemies in the water world. His one weak spot: during a battle, only his water-repellent fur can protect him. His opponents should still wrap up warm, however...

The Stegosaurus is easy to spot from afar, and not only because it's so huge: the fiery red double row of boney curved armored plates on its back is unmistakable. It forms a beautiful contrast to its yellowish lizard skin. With its head lowered, it trudges across the meadows, always holding its long tail up a little. Its favorite thing to do is graze. That's what a Stegosaurus does all day long because it takes a while for the 4.5-ton herbivore to eat enough to keep going. Fancy a munch?

There's plenty to discover in the rabbit and guinea pig hutch from the schleich® FARM WORLD. The animals hide in their hutch, suck at their drink bottle, nibble the lettuce or walk over the rocking toy. This also serves as a practical ramp that they can use to climb or hop onto the roof of their hutch. The fence sections can be connected in any way or combined with other schleich® fences.

The Battle Rhino stomps through Eldrador with its ten-ton body. It doesn't look like it as much of a sense of humor, either. Small eyes narrowed, this fighter has a mean glint in its eye. It knows exactly if you are planning to challenge it and will not hesitate to attack. The Battle Rhino looks like a rock that isn't going anywhere fast. But that impression is misleading! When it gets really angry, it can turbo-charge, taking a run-up and threatening its opponent with its dangerous, transparent horn.

As strong as a bear and cold as ice: The blizzard bear by schleich® ELDRADOR® Creatures uses several weapons to keep invaders off the ice. Firstly, he is a master of camouflage: With his snow-white coat, the polar bear blends in perfectly with the ice world environment – and takes his enemies by surprise. Anyone who cannot run away fast enough will come into contact with his strong, movable arms – trying to escape is useless! One of his powerful claws is made entirely of ice - with one touch he can freeze his opponents! If an enemy escapes from the gigantic blizzard bear, he reaches for his secret weapon: A magic ice pick. The bear can use the ice pick to create a monstrous storm of countless ice particles, which sweeps opponents away as if with an icy wind. Attacking the blizzard bear is virtually pointless: His icy breastplate can withstand any attack!

As the morning sun tipoes through your window, soft sunlight twinkles off the pink and silver wings of the Sunrise Pegasus. You yawn and roll over, still sleepy. The pegasus spreads its wings and sunlight splashes against your bedroom walls, speckling them with bright, warm light. Wake up, sleepyhead!

This beautiful star Pegasus mare is not from this world. She comes from the infinite space of the universe and you can see this at first glance. She's guarding secrets we could never even imagine. Her outward appearance makes her look especially magical, giving the impression that she has just descended from the starry night sky. She and her family, the proud moon unicorn stallion and her cute shooting star unicorn foal, form a magical unit.

The colorful flower pegasus by schleich® BAYALA® is a magical animal. He is as shy and mysterious as all magical horses, living secluded in the beautiful flower fields and being a loving protector of the sweet flower unicorn foal. To win his trust is very difficult, but the royal sisters managed to win him over as a good and faithful friend. The princesses Surah and Sera love to meet him and admire his beautiful wings and great mane!

The Triceratops was one of the last large dinosaurs. Despite being an herbivore, it had a total of up to 800 teeth, which constantly grew back. Nonetheless, it was incapable of chewing food, as its jaw could not move from side to side. It used its teeth to cut up palm leaves and ferns.

The Ceratosaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS was a carnivorous dinosaur that lived around 150 million years ago in the Late Jurassic period. Two bumps at the eyes and a large horn on the nose were made of bone. They were used either in combat or to deter rivals. On its back were also numerous spike-like bones. The many bumps and plates gave it its name: Ceratosaurus means "horned lizard."

When she grows up, Hannah would like to become a vet like her mother. When an Icelandic mare begins foaling, Hannah is incredibly excited and rushes to the mare immediately with her first aid kit. Fortunately, the mare and foal are healthy and perky. What a wonderful day! Nonetheless, just to be on the safe side, Hannah opens the box to take out the stethoscope and examine the foal and its mother.

The Pachycephalosaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS is the largest beaked, herbivorous dinosaur ever discovered. It grew to around 4-5 m in length, 450 kg, moved on two legs and lived in the Late Cretaceous period in North America. Its strong domed skull was 20-25 cm thick. Scientists believe that it used the skull to ram or impress rivals. Pachycephalosaurus means "thick-headed lizard."

Curiously, the Magic Deer opens its. big beautiful eyes and sniffs the wind with its black muzzle. It must have sniffed out the scent of roses. It's setting off at a trot already, to get to the roses quickly. There it can decorate its magnificent golden antlers with fresh flowers. This is a daily routine, carefully choosing only the roses that exactly match its pink coat. No wonder this vision of beauty is one of the best in BAYALA®!

Uh oh: that smouldering in his eyes spells trouble. The fire bull is always in attack mode! Which is no wonder given how hot-tempered he is: all it takes to make him snap is for a single bird to perch on his spiky back, which is made of cooled lava! Anyone who approaches him will feel his pointy, glowing-hot horns, which can skewer even the best-armoured opponents. But even if they manage to dodge the horns they shouldn't start celebrating just yet: the fire bull has another ace up his sleeve in the form of his flaming tail - one hit from which will put even the most tenacious opponent out of action! Friend or foe, best not get too close unless you want your fingers burnt - under his hard shell bubbles a deadly-hot core of molten lava...

With its bright yellow scales, this popular herbivore spreads good vibes among its fellow triceratops. The triceratops particularly likes plants on ground level so that it doesn’t have to crane its neck up too high.

But anyone who might think the triceratops is small and harmless couldn’t be more wrong!

At around nine meters in length, it’s bigger than a bus, and its huge neck frill and three pointy horns make it a formidable opponent that can hold its own in any fight.

Half man and half horse, the centaur Firenze has black shiny hooves, brown fur, and strong arms.

Watch out! The Swamp Monster is lurking in the swamp and you can see immediately it’s not here to make friends. It has a pretty large mouth. I wonder what will get caught between those long fangs next! It may well end badly… But the Swamp Monster also has a spiked tail to defend itself. One blow from it can easily knock out any opponent. And the cleverest thing about the Swamp Monster is its ability to blend into the background, as it is perfectly camouflaged with its green scales. There are even lianas on its back, making it even harder to spot. If you are not careful, it will jump out and surprise you in the swamp. One snap and you’re dinner, so watch out!

Don't you just love this woolly gang! Curiously, the three fluffy sheep keep an eye out to see who's approaching the pasture. But they are a little shy. The brown and the brown-and-white spotted Southdown Babydoll Sheep sidle close up to the third in the group – the white Hampshire Sheep with its black muzzle. I wonder if this one is braver than the others? Together, the three woolly sheep friends definitely feel braver than if they were alone. And they are right: Life is better with friends!

The fearsome dakotaraptor roves the thick jungle with the elegant poise of a predator. As it prowls lithely through the foliage in search of prey, its scaly plumage glistens in the sun. The dakotaraptor’s razor-sharp claws and scaly plumage are a frightening sight—and you’d be right to be afraid.

With its colorful plumage, this graceful hunter is beautiful to look at—but for your own safety we recommend doing so from a distance, using a pair of binoculars!

Direct hit! Our Styracosaurus from schleich® DINOSAURS loves playing ring toss. With a large horn on its nose, the dinosaur is great at catching rings and does a happy dance every time it catches one. Its mouth is also slightly different than you might expect. The beak-like shape helps it pick the juiciest leaves and strong jaws let it eat even the hard, most fibrous plants.
The prehistoric giant usually uses its large neck shield as protection or as a canvas for its dinosaur toy friends. Everyone can paint with washable water colors here. But only if you help it wash off in the sink afterwards.

Its yellow eyes look mean and know no mercy. Although the Magma Lizard looks like a fiery creature, it actually has a heart of ice. Anyone who dares to disturbs it is greeted with a sinister snort from its powerful snout. If that's not enough, it opens and closes his jaws in warning. You can even see its thick, yellow tongue. No one wants to get too close to the Magma Lizard. That would be much too dangerous. You might burn your fingers on the transparent fin of flames on its back!

The Diplodocus trudges in a leisurely fashion through the prehistoric world. It’s in no hurry at all, especially as it is on the heavy side. But this colossus doesn’t need to be scared of anyone. At that size, nobody wants to mess with it. If it does get angry, it whips its long tail threateningly from side to side. Watch how fast everyone disappears! Now it can get back to its favorite hobby: nibbling branches.

The Kaprosuchus from schleich® DINOSAURS was named after its teeth and head shape: its name means "boar crocodile." The animal lived in the Late Cretaceous period, probably primarily on land where it hunted small animals. So far only one skull of the animal has been found in the Sahara, so scientists can only guess at its actual appearance. It's estimated that the dinosaur was around 6 m long.

With the Puppy Wagon Ride from schleich® FARM WORLD, FW Sarah and her puppy Bello have lots of cool adventures. They walk over meadows with colorful flowers, past a field of grain and then to an orchard in the garden of a farmhouse. Here they decide to take a rest, enjoy the fresh air and listen to the chirping of birds. The set is a perfect supplement to the FW set 42408 Adventure Tree House.

After the Compsognathus and the Velociraptor, the Dilophosaurus was one of the fastest prehistoric saurians. Despite its six metre-long body, it weighed only 500 kg and had long, powerful hind legs, with which it could easily reach speeds of up to 38 km/h. It had two striking bone crests on its skull, which also led to it being called the "Double Crested Lizard". They were indeed big and long, but too thin to defend itself with. Scientists believe that they were used to impress rivals.

The animals in the Alpaca Set from schleich® WILD LIFE come from the South American Andes, where they are bred for their soft, warm wool. They are hump-less camels with a calm and friendly temperament. The two young animals have different coats: One is white, the other brown. They are suckled by their mother for 6-8 months before starting to eat grass.

Wolf pups are blind and deaf at birth and therefore depend on their mother. Only after two weeks do they first open their eyes, and after about ten weeks they begin to explore the world around them. They like to play hide-and-seek, roll around in the grass and hunt small insects. As soon as they are two years old, they leave the pack to start one of their own.

Velociraptors were likely very intelligent dinosaurs that hunted in packs. Although they were only 60 cm in height, these carnivores were able to overpower significantly larger prey. These dinosaurs reached speeds of up to 65 kilometres an hour and were capable of quick turns thanks to their stiff tails. To consume their prey, Velociraptors had at their disposal eighty sharp, crooked teeth in their flat snout, some of which 2.5 cm in length. The velociraptor is considered to have been one of the most intelligent and fastest dinosaurs. A formidable hunter.

The blue whale is the largest mammal on the planet. Its tongue alone weighs as much as an elephant, and when it opens its mouth, up to 90 tonnes of water can fit into it. It also has the biggest heart in the world, weighing 180 kg and making it about as large and heavy as a gorilla.

In the expansive underwater world of Meamare, a unicorn family lives in a shell clearing nestled in the sea forests. Only those who are very lucky and patient get to encounter the unicorn parents and their little ones. And once you've seen them, you will never forget them – the three magical creatures are so beautiful and mysterious. A mermaid has even managed to become friends with them. She visits them regularly, pets them, and even speaks with them. Just look what a fantastic pattern they have on their fur coat and how their tails and manes glisten. Which sea unicorn is your favourite?

The Dracorex was a small, herbivorous dinosaur that inhabited North America during the Late Cretaceous period. Only the skull of a single Dracorex has been found so far. The shape of the dinosaur's head and its long snout resemble a dragon, which resulted in it being named Dracorex: its scientific name which, translated word for word, means dragon king.

Weighing just 500 kilos, the Dilophosaurus is almost a lightweight compared to the other dinosaurs. But it should not be underestimated. The carnivore is a real predator and can crush fish or smaller dinosaurs like peanuts between its strong fangs. Because it has such strong hind legs, it’s a very good runner and can easily catch up with its prey when hunting. Better not let it catch your scent in the first place.

The two-meter-long Velociraptor rears up on its hind legs and stretches its flat snout in the air. It has picked up a scent. It lets out a dangerous-sounding growl and opens and closes its mighty jaw a few times. With its sharp fangs, it can shred everything it can get its claws on. Off it runs across the plain. Although its lizard skin is covered in feathers, this carnivore cannot fly. Nevertheless, it’s still fast enough to stay hot on the heels of its prey. Let’s get out of here!

It looks a bit poisonous, the Concavenator. That's probably because of its yellow-green lizard skin and the fiery red hump on its back. I wonder if it has a purpose other than scaring people. It's certainly impressive. The prehistoric giant's height of six meters also commands respect. But if you mess with it, you'll soon realize that the Concavenator isn't in the mood for fun: its powerful jaws open and close menacingly as it exposes his razor-sharp teeth. Time to head for the hills!

The Moros Intrepidus is admittedly much smaller than its relative, the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its legs are only about 1.20 meters long. Nevertheless, it can also be quite dangerous. Its hunger for fresh meat can hardly be satisfied, which is why it’s always hunting. When it discovers its prey it can run faster than almost every other dinosaur. Once it has something in its sharp fangs, it won't let go without a fight. So we'd be better off keeping our distance!

The Pteranodon was one of the largest pterosaurs in the Cretaceous period. The striking bony crest on the rear of its head provided a counterweight to its long beak. It probably didn't flap its wings very often, but instead took advantage of the wind to glide through the air - similar to an albatross.

Every horse has its favorite food. That is why it is recommended to have a special treat for each of these noble animals. Hay, straw, carrots and every now and then an apple, nearly every horse loves a treat like that. Happy feeding!

Watch out! The Gallimimus is about to run by! Yikes - it's disappeared again! The dinosaur can run so fast that you can easily lose sight of it. Maybe that's why you should keep it close. That way, you can take your time admiring this dino, which has feathers on its front legs, an elegant long neck and a thick beak, like a bird. It can't fly, but the Gallimimus doesn't need to, because it can just run away at lightning speed instead!

Thoroughbreds are very fast, slender racehorses that are descended from Arab horses. They are primarily used for flat racing. Since they are very sensitive to cold, they need a large padded blanket to keep them warm, even in the stable.

At the horse show in Lakeside, the Rocky Mountain Horse mare has all eyes on it with its graceful movements. This horse breed has a natural predisposition for the “Tölt” gait, in which at least one leg always remains on the ground. This lets the rider sit particularly comfortably in the saddle.

This dinosaur, which belongs to the avian dinosaur family (that means bird-like), only pretends to be dangerous. Instead of getting into trouble, it prefers to wander through the countryside on its sturdy legs. It's probably out looking for a lush meadow.

Beware of the dog: anyone who wants to enter the lava world must first of all pass the hellhound. And this is not so easy. Its bark and growl are not only deafeningly loud, but it also has two heads – meaning it can take on two opponents at the same time! When it starts to wag its tail, intruders should get out of the way fast – in a battle it uses it as a red-hot burning whip! Armour made of hellishly hot magma also provides it with sufficient protection – it is no wonder that the hellhound is not afraid of anyone or anything. Well, there is one thing that makes it lose sleep, and that is the fear that the eternal lava flow will one day dry up...

The green eyes of the Stone Triceratops gleam angrily in the darkness of the cave. Creepy! It lets out an angry snort. It’s pretty cramped here. With its mighty head, it’s not easy to move around. The only thing left for it to do is run away! It lowers its mighty head to attack and takes a run-up. Let’s get out of here quickly before it gets us with the three sharp crystal horns on its head. Yikes!

As an herbivorous dinosaur, the ankylosaurus did not hunt, but knew how to defend itself! If it felt threatened it gathered momentum with its heavy, bone tail club and hurled it against attackers. I wonder if it has always been this mean. After all, it used to be a Hellhound, before it was defeated in battle against the Shadow World and was transformed into a Shadowhound.

The Koala Mother and her baby from schleich® WILD LIFE love a good breakfast of eucalyptus together. Eu-ca-lyp-tus...say that 10 times fast without getting tongue-tied! After breakfast, the little joey hangs on tight onto his momma's back as she carries him up into the trees.

When the fiery Pura Raza Española stallion appears, all eyes are immediately on the magnificent black stallion. He is already saddled and wearing his bridle. I’m sure he would love to start dressage training right away. He is particularly good at that. He is so dainty and light-footed as he elegantly bows his neck. He’s already trotting off. But wait! Isn't someone missing? Who’s going to train with him?

The Pura Raza Española mare is already wearing a blanket, saddle and bridle, but she is not going to the show today. Otherwise, her thick mane would surely be braided into an elaborate hairstyle. Instead, she is ready for dressage training. She is already looking forward to it and paws at the ground with her slender but strong legs. She is very docile and likes to be led by her favorite human. She really wants to please and has fun too. Who is going to practice with her?

The Shadow Isopod is no walk in the park when it comes to battle. Its armor is so hard and impenetrable that even the sharpest teeth shatter like glass. Its transparent, purple shimmering armor is also its strongest defense. Apart from its red glowering eyes, with which it fixes its victims. Small and mean, these eyes emerge in the darkness and are often the first thing you'll see of the Shadow Isopod. If you don't run away fast enough, it won't be long before you feel its sting. So watch out!

Anyone traveling in the jungle world should keep their eyes open for the dangerous Jungle Tarantula. You don't want to bump into it unexpectedly, because it's always ready to attack. But it can be hard to avoid. That's because the Jungle Tarantula likes to sit, well camouflaged and ready to ambush. When attacked, it likes to bite and spray its venom. Maybe we could take this trip to the jungle another time? That might be a good idea!

The Stone Chameleon creeps through ELDRADOR® on silent soles. It's guarding the BattleCave and keeping a close eye on what's going on in the Stone World. Usually it sits tucked away and well hidden on a branch, encircled with its strong tail. From above it can see everything that's going on. It opens its large, rotating eyes. Is anyone coming? It deftly drops from the branch, appearing out of nowhere in front of the attacker. Opening its jaws you can see all those pointed rows of teeth! Let's get out of here fast!

What's wrong with the rat? The mean Ice Rat hisses venomously and squints its ice-cold eyes into narrow slits. It might be a bad time for a visit! That's probably why it was chosen to guard the BattleCave of the Ice World. But even when it's off duty, the Ice Rat is looking for trouble. It loves to open its mouth and show its needle-sharp teeth. Easy to grab its victims by the scruff of their necks and bite down until they give up. Maybe we should give this creature a wide berth?

When the Lava Hyena isn't guarding the BattleCave and the World Crystal, it's clearly looking for trouble. Restlessly roaming ELDRADOR®, it's always looking for trouble. If you're smart, you'd better not get involved. The Lava Hyena is a fearsome opponent. When it opens its jaws to reveal those sharp fangs, it sends an icy chill down your spine. And just wait till it throws its head back, breaking into a gruesome hyena laugh, your blood will run cold. No doubt: The Lava Hyena has already defeated many attackers. Let's get out of here fast!

In the darkest dark of night, when the icy wind cuts like a jagged stone, the sound thunders in your ear…it's your heart racing, alerting you to unseen danger. Your sense tell you all you need to know: The Shadow Lion is nearby.

Anyone who enters the ice world had better take care – the snow wolf will definitely be lying in wait somewhere! With his white fur, he can move almost unseen in the snow and then, at the right moment, ambush opponents! Not even the smallest movement gets past his eagle eyes and, with his fine sense of smell, he can pick up even the faintest trail. He is a loner and also very tenacious, which is why he doesn't have a problem overpowering his opponents on his own. But when he needs help, he can call up the ice dragon with his wolf howl. Careful! The Shadow Panther from schleich® ELDRADOR® Creatures prowls through the jungle undergrowth like a dark phantom. His jet black coat lets him move invisibly through the shadows to ambush his enemies. If an intruder comes too close, he leaps out of his cover to take his opponent by surprise and attacks them with his razor-sharp claws. Often the attacks ends up in a breathtaking chase, which the strong jungle inhabitant easily wins. The dangerous Shadow Panther is particularly proud of his lithe, spiny tails. They help him keep his balance during leaps. Plus, he can also use the strong tails as a double whip. The spines on the end of his tails and on his muscular back are very dangerous. They contain a paralyzing poison that immediately disables his enemies.

Elephant bulls are considerably bigger than elephant cows. Reaching heights of almost four metres, they are the second largest land animals after giraffes. They also weigh five to six tonnes, which makes them the heaviest of all land animals. African elephant bulls usually leave their herd when they are about twelve years old. By then they are grown-up enough to find their own food and defend themselves, so they move through the country with other bulls or as a loner - in search of another herd.

Elephants are known as being thick skinned. However, their skin is so sensitive, they can even get sunburnt. That is why elephants often throw several layers of mud on themselves. This pleasant "cooling pack" also combats the scorching heat. While elephants cannot hear any better than other animals with their huge ears, they help them to cope with the African heat. When they fan with their ears, the blood cools down and provides them with refreshment.

The North Atlantic Right whale swims slowly through the sea with its small front flippers. It keeps its large body on course with its broad, transverse tail fin. It only travels around 8 km per hour. It swims slowly, because as it glides through the water, it filters small crabs and fish called Krill through the sieve in its mouth, which it then eats with relish. A full meal takes quite a long while for a giant like him. After all, the sea giant weighs up to 100 tons, so its appetite for krill is neverending!

Isn't he beautiful? The Knabstrupper stallion Beauty Horse attracts all the attention with his beautifully spotted coat. But that's not all: His tail and mane are particularly long and luxuriant. Luckily, he always has a finger comb with him so that the long hair can be combed to a silky shine. What should he do with his mane today? Mrs. Kramer stands in the pasture with her foal. She carefully leads it around by the halter. The young Trakehner foal has a limp! She carefully feels its leg and gives him an injection to relieve the swelling. Then she applies an adhesive bandage. That should do the trick. Emily is on stable duty today. Fortunately, she finds everything she needs in the mucking out and grooming set. She grabs the wheelbarrow and sets off for the stables. First she removes the old straw, then she cleans the stable with lots of water. To do this, she has to bring bucket after bucket into the barn. What a drag! Who will help her push the wheelbarrow? She uses the pitchfork to distribute the fresh hay for the animals. The cat keeps her company and watches closely. A little more water in the dog bowl, and then Emily is done. She deserves a medal!

The bison is the largest mammal in North America and this bull here is a particularly beautiful example. He stands confidently on the lush meadow with strong legs, grazing with slow relish. Suddenly his head jerks up. Was it something he heard? The bison turns his large head to the side and looks out over the wide plain. Nothing there. He continues to graze on. This big guy is quite peaceful. But if he has to, he defends himself and his herd courageously. What you would least expect: He can even run really fast. Bison can reach speeds of up to 56 km per hour! Once they pick up speed, they hurtle towards their opponents like an avalanche of hooves. Fortunately, that only happens in an emergency.

How can you tell apart a Paint horse mare and a pinto mare? It's easy to mix them up, because they both have patched coats. Essentially, the only way to tell for sure is to consult the studbook: while pintos are only a colour breed, Paint horses are an official breed in their own right.

In the 15th century, monks began to breed the Andalusians in the south of Spain. With its graceful appearance, it enchanted especially nobles and kings. Therefore, only few would guess that the Andalusian has long been used as a cavalry horse. Although it was always known for his courage and strength, it is rather their elegance that distinguishes it. It is a unique dressage horse and even dominates the famous leap into the air, which is otherwise known only from the higher riding school of the Lipizzaner horse.

Knapstrupper and Appaloosa stallions look very similar, as they both have spotted coats. However, the two breeds developed independently. The Knapstrupper breed comes from Denmark, while Appaloosas originated in the USA. Knapstruppers are not only popular because of their coat pattern, but are also talented dressage horses.

The monks at Uetersen Monastery, located in what is now Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany, started breeding them in the 14th century. However, the first recorded mentions of Holsteiners are much older, dating back to the year 1225.

The Sorraia Mustang Stallion from schleich® FARM WORLD has a narrow dorsal stripe on his back. This is a characteristic of these horses, as is the dun coat and the dark snout. The mane and tail show another characteristic of the breed: They are always bi-colored! Sorraia horses are considered the ancestors of Andalusians and Lusitanos. Braunvieh cows are a domestic cattle breed that originated in Switzerland. They have been reared in the Alpine region for many centuries. Braunvieh cattle normally have single-coloured brown or grey coats, beautifully intermingled with different shades, and a black muzzle ringed with lighter fur. Although they are very muscular, their appearance is refined and graceful.

Frisians were named after their home, the Dutch Friesland, and are one of the oldest horse breeds in Europe. They have a characteristic black coloured coat, a magnificent mane and a pretty tail. The Indian rhinoceros lives in Northeast India. Its thick folds of skin make it unmistakable, as though it were wearing thick armour. Contrary to its African relatives, however, it is very calm and peaceful. It spends most of its time eating grass, twigs, leaves, branches, and fruits.

The solid-built Fjord horse gelding examines his surroundings with an alert gaze. He pricks up his small, pointed ears and listens. Can he hear someone coming across the field? He tilts his head thoughtfully. No, it was probably nothing – just the wind rustled the leaves. It's a pity really, because the sociable gelding with its distinctive stripe on his back and the two-tone mane really likes company. Maybe he'll just trot over to the Fjord Horse mare (sold separately) for a little chat.

Coloured cobs are powerful horses with a full mane, strong feathering, a short back and large hooves. The typical piebald coat pattern was deliberately bred into the horses around the year 1900. They were first called "Magpies". Cobs are very balanced and meek.

The Mangalarga Marchador Stallion is ready: Who wants to fetch him from the paddock and take him for a ride? He flares his nostrils and snorts in anticipation. He is ready to go out for an energetic ride. Riders appreciate the fact that he is quite manageable and not too big. Originally, the Mangalarga Marchador comes from Brazil. The name Marchador is derived from the way he walks, a gentle gait called "Marcha."

Arabians are often referred to as the most beautiful horse breed in the world. They have a slim, noble physique and often a small, elegant kink in the nose. The Arabian stallion by schleich® HORSE CLUB has a braided tail, which is beautifully displayed with its proud pose. He also has a magnificent dark mane and his coat is an elegant, attractive shade of brown.

Tennessee Walker horses have unusually long and flat hooves. They are not fitted with horseshoes and are not trimmed. This favours their typical gaits, flat walk (accelerated pace), running walk (running pace) and canter (soft gallop).

Grizzlies are tall, strong animals - they stand up to 2.4 metres high and weigh roundabout 450 kilograms. They have sort of a hump on their back and strong hind limbs. Grizzly bears are able to run up to 55 kilometres per hour. They are loners and frequently behave aggressively. Sometimes they gather at waters to catch salmon. Since they are omnivores, these bears feed on fish, plants and large mammals like moose, deer and black bears. They are also known to steal food from wolves or humans.

A Trakehener mare can only have a foal with a Trakehner, Arab or Thoroughbred stallion. This rule is intended to preserve the breed's elegant build and spirited character. Trakehners originated in the East Prussian town of Trakehnen, near Kaliningrad in Russia.

Holsteiners have powerful hindquarters that allow them to jump very high. They often win medals at the Olympic Games and other major equestrian events. While the average leisure horse is around 155 cm tall, Holsteiners are significantly bigger: usually 165-175 cm.

Bulls have been the symbol of Spain for centuries. They can weigh well over 1,000 kg and are extremely strong. Before a bull attacks, it displays warning behaviours. It shows itself from the side so that it looks bigger, tosses its head back and forth, scrapes the ground with its front hoof and bellows.

Angus cattle are beautiful and strong black cattle with somewhat shorter legs. Usually the animals do not have horns - they have been bred out so that the cattle do not injure each other. This is especially important for the heavy, strong bulls. Black Angus cattle are very undemanding and therefore very popular with farmers.

The Jersey Cow gives the visitors at the pasture fence a friendly look with her black eyes. She comes trotting over right away because she's very trusting. Good friends are even allowed to get close enough to stroke her yellowish coat. She loves to be patted like that. Gently she pokes at their hands with her soft muzzle: Don't stop! She's only 1.20 meters high and so much smaller than many other cattle breeds. Together, the herd loves to stand on the pasture, where they can always find lush new grass. Everyone enjoys these regular visits.

Arabian horses were bred by Bedouins and lived with the families in the desert - sometimes they even slept in their tents! Today these remarkable horses can be recognized by their tails and head form. Almost all horse breeds go back to an Arabian bloodline, as Arabian horses were crossed in order to pass on certain characteristics such as speed, endurance and a disposition for healthy bones to other breeds. Arabians are characterized by a readiness of mind and a willingness to cooperate, as well as alertness and temperament. The 'Versatile Arabian' often wins at endurance competitions and is a popular breed worldwide.

They mainly do this if they want to protect their young, because the adult animals are normally rarely attacked. Anyone who has the opportunity to look at giraffes from close up can easily distinguish the females from the males. They are somewhat smaller and have thin horns with a small tuft of fur on top. Giraffe bulls, in contrast, have thick horns with no fur on top.

Hidden in the mountains of Rainbow Island, there lives a Pegasus unicorn with its little one. What tall tales is Juri telling again? The self-confident penguin stands around with a swagger, spreading his short wings and gesticulating wildly. I’m sure Juri has another cool story in store. When the black Arabian Stallion stands next to the snow white Arabian Mare (sold separately), the two make a stunning pair. But the beautiful thoroughbred also cuts a great figure on his own. Although Rabbat originally comes from Norway, he is already very much at home in the School of Magical Animals. That's no surprise, since this clever fox has already made some good friends here. They have so many adventures together. Rabbat always shows himself to be a really good friend: He is honest and caring. Even now, he keeps a close eye on everything, making sure nothing bad happens. He pricks up his cute fox ears to make sure he doesn’t miss anything.

Grass is hard to digest. That's why cows chew an average of 50 times per minute - a total of 30,000 times per day. Even if we humans really make an effort, we generally don't chew a morsel of food more than 30 times. Cows produce over 150 litres of saliva per day as a result. This makes them very thirsty, so they also drink a lot of water: up to 180 litres per day. This is equivalent to a large bathtub filled to the top. If they are very thirsty, they can even drink 25 litres per minute.

Snow-white coat, white hooves and light pink nostrils - the Camarillo mare is a true beauty. No wonder she loves to be shown off at parades. Her immaculate coat is a true rarity. That is because all pure white Camarillos can be traced back to one small family of horses in the USA. The original stallion was called Sultan. What are you going to name this pretty mare here?

Texas longhorns have the longest horns of any cattle. The first signs of the horns can be seen at the age of just three weeks. The horns grow sideways out of the head and twist slightly at the tips. By around the time a bull turns one, its horns will already have grown to around half their adult length.

The tiger's stripes are as varied and unique as fingerprints. Even the skin underneath is striped. At first glance, the striking pattern hardly seems to be beneficial. After all, the tiger does not want to be discovered by its prey immediately. When the tiger goes hunting in the twilight, it is however perfectly camouflaged with the stripes. They appear as tall grass moving in the wind or like fleeting shadows. Unlike many other "cats" and big cats the tiger swims well and likes it, too. Therefore, the water is not a safe place for many prey animals.

Only Andalusians that are listed in the studbook can be designated a Pure Spanish Horse (PRE). In order to be listed, they have to undergo a registration and selection process. The horse is inspected and its gaits and physical build are assessed.

The mighty Cape Buffalo raises its head and sniffs the air. With its black muzzle, it can sniff out exactly whether strangers are approaching the herd. The buffalo finds it hard to decide: can they keep on grazing or is an enemy closing in? If a strange buffalo tries to approach the herd, it doesn't miss a beat. At a gallop, he charges the uninvited guest, stopping just short of the stranger and lowers its big head. It snorts angrily, pawing at the ground. Its huge horns look so impressive that most intruders will trot off right away. All the better!

Lipizzaners can master difficult dressage exercises with ease. The breed is best known for the capriole. This is a jump in place in which all four of the horses' hoofs are in the air. At the highest point, it kicks out with the hind legs before landing.

The saltwater crocodile is the most dangerous of all crocodiles. It holds the record for the largest crocodile: It can weigh up to a ton, as much as a small car. While most crocodiles live in rivers and lakes, the saltwater crocodile is the only one that can deal with both fresh water and saltwater of the seas. In addition to the saltwater crocodile, there are many other kinds, a total of 25. These include, for example, the Nile crocodile, the armoured crocodile, alligators and caimans.

How can you tell apart a Paint horse mare and a pinto mare? It’s easy to mix them up, because they both have patched coats. Essentially, the only way to tell for sure is to consult the studbook: while pintos are only a colour breed, Paint horses are an official breed in their own right.

The Cheval de Selle Francais mare is an excellent show jumper. That's thanks to her strong hind legs, with which she can overcome any obstacle. But she also simply enjoys showing what she is made of at tournaments. That's why she's always up for a workout. She also likes to look out for fallen trees during rides, to jump over before galloping off. With her strong legs, shiny brown coat and slender neck, this horse impresses the entire world of HORSE CLUB.

The magical fawn gazes dreamily into the distance with its big, shining eyes. I wonder what's going through its head right now? It stretches its cute pink snout into the air and spreads its beautiful wings. It was supposed to practice flying, but right now it just wants to play. With its large, violet eyes, the rainbow baby dragon looks like butter wouldn’t melt in its mouth. But don’t be fooled, this little one can really pack a punch. Giraffe bulls are so large, they can put their head through the window of the second floor of a building and say "hello". Their tongue is up to 50 centimetres long, is desensitised to prickly leaves, and has an unusual colour: it is dark blue. This colour helps protect it from sunburn when giraffes use it to wrap around and pluck leaves. Even animals as large as giraffes need to sleep between meals. When there is no threat of danger, they lie down for a nap, but in the wilderness they mainly sleep standing up.

There are lots of magical creatures in BAYALA®, but most of them are very shy and you can only catch a glimpse of them if you are very lucky. The most beautiful animals are arguably the flying horses and the unicorns. In a glade in the forest, not far from the elf town of Soleyas, lives a very special family: A Pegasus, a unicorn mare and her young. The little winged unicorn is one of the most mesmerising creatures in all of BAYALA®. He has a twisted magic horn and wings like his father. The little one frolics around all day and is learning to fly right now. He’s much more daring doing so than daddy Pegasus would like. He even dares to do extremely risky flying manoeuvres. He also likes being stroked by the elves and proudly wears their decorations. Would you like to have a flying race with the elves and the little foal?

With its striking black and white fur, and black circles around its eyes, the giant panda looks just like a cuddly toy. But today it doesn't have time to cuddle. The bear, which can weigh up to 160 kilos, has to make sure it gets enough food. Because it eats almost nothing but bamboo, and the plant is not particularly nutritious, it has to keep eating for up to 16 hours a day! No wonder it has no time to play; it has to digest up to 40 kilos of bamboo! And that takes time.

When is it finally his turn to strut his stuff? The elaborate braided hairstyle in his mane sits perfectly. The spirited Selle Français stallion is ready and hard to restrain. Show jumping is what he loves most of all! The proud stallion sets his eyes firmly on the next obstacle and takes off at an elegant trot. Victory is within reach, so nothing can stop him now.

If you look at a Tennessee Walker from the side, its legs do not stand straight on the ground, but are slanted. This is especially noticeable on the hind legs. The position of its legs enables it to master certain gaits - flat walk, running walk and canter.

The Holstein mare's lush black mane and thick tail are not yet braided for the show. During training, her mane is allowed to flutter freely in the wind as she elegantly takes a run-up to the next obstacle. She daintily bows her head and immediately jumps skillfully over the wall. Doesn't she look impressive? With her long legs, she also cuts a fine figure in dressage. She's sure to win another trophy!

Reindeer are a deer species that live in large herds in the colder regions of North America, northern Europe and northern Asia. In nature they have the same stick-like antlers as the one from schleich® WILD LIFE. They are the only deer species where the female also has antlers. Another special feature is their hooves. They are very wide and spread as they walk. This creates a characteristic creaking or cracking sound.

Dromedaries live in the deserts of Africa and Asia. They eat mostly leaves, dry grass and thorny plants. The hump of the mammal isn't used to store water; it stores fat. If they can't find any food in the desert they can live off it for weeks. The dromedary from schleich® WILD LIFE has eaten well recently and has an upright, well-filled hump.

The Anteater from schleich® WILD LIFE lives in the savannas and grasslands of Central and South America. The mammal feeds primarily on ants and termites. To get them out of their nests, the anteater bores in with its long snout, then sticks out its 60 cm long sticky tongue. Anteaters also have a bushy tail that looks bigger than it actually is due to the long hair.

In the Tinker are the mighty Shire horse, the powerful Clydesdale, the majestic Friesian and the sure-footed Dales Pony. These were bred by travellers to the UK and Ireland to make for a strong and sturdy pull- and workhorse. At the same time they stayed very much on top of the horses characters. They should be absolutely gentle and reliable. To date, the Tinker is known and loved for these characteristics. It is therefore often used as a therapy horse.

Pintos have unique, beautiful fur drawings that give the horses more personality. Nevertheless, the Pintos do not form a separate breed. They are a colour breed, which is found in almost all breeds. The coat patterns are different in "Overo" and "Tobiano". Overos have a coloured coat with white piebald. Their head is often completely white. It's a so-called "lantern". Tobianos on the other hand, have a white coat with coloured piebald. Legs and back remain mostly white.

The Komodo dragon is the largest lizard in the world. An ambush predator, it waits in the high grass for small rodents, birds and other reptiles. It tries to bite them with its short, sharp teeth. If it succeeds, the animals do not die because of the bite, but because of a poisonous fluid that it transmits via glands in its mouth.

The beautiful Marwari Mare watches attentively, as her little Marwari foal plays in the pasture. As she does so, she pricks up her crescent-shaped ears. With a little imagination, from a distance, it looks as though she is wearing a crown. The Marwari mare is curious and doesn't want to miss out on anything. The pretty Andalusian mare is used to regular training. She is simply unbeatable when it comes to the art of dressage. Even now, she is eagerly pawing the sand with her front hoof. The great white shark is the largest predatory fish on the planet. The way its teeth work is somewhat reminiscent of a revolver and they consist of several rows. When one of its sharp, triangular teeth breaks out of the front row, it is quickly replaced by another from the row behind it. New replacement teeth are constantly growing.

Orang-utans are highly intelligent apes who can recognise their own reflection. They can also use tools. For example, they might stick a long branch vertically into a lake to find out how deep it is, or use it to make a bridge over marshy ground before they cross.

The elk is Sweden's national animal and is known for its impressive antlers. However, only male elk have them. Elk bulls start growing the antlers at the age of two. They can reach a weight of up to 20 kg. The bulls shed them each year and grow a new set.

Male gorillas often beat their fists on their chests. They do so to show who is the strongest in the group. However, it can also be a kind of greeting. Gorillas don't just walk on the palms of their hands, but also on their knuckles. For this reason, they're also known as knuckle-walkers.

The German Riding Pony Gelding from schleich® HORSE CLUB has a beautifully braided mane. Despite his low height, he looks like a full-size horse. That is a special feature of this pony breed. The animals have long, slender legs and an elegant physique. This differentiates them from other ponies that have shorter, more stocky legs and a more thickset body. The German Riding Pony is also known as a miniature warmblood.

Yummy, yummy, in my tummy! Rick the Crocodile must have filled his belly with something delicious again. All vegan, of course. In any case, Rick’s belly is looking pretty full as he stands there, keeping a lookout for his friends. Or is he just looking for more treats to eat? You would never think it of a crocodile, but Rick is not dangerous at all.
On the contrary, Rick is very friendly and loves nothing more than a cuddle with his friends. But don’t get him upset. Because then he will have to burp, and that’s always a bit embarrassing. But what else can he do?

American Saddlebreds are well-known for keeping their heads and their beautifully curved tail high - like the American Saddlebred gelding by schleich® HORSE CLUB. The horse breed has a balanced, even-tempered nature and is extremely willing to perform. Some American Saddlebreds master two additional gaits, the slow gait and the so-called rack gait.

The polar bear's habitat is the Arctic. In winter, the temperature there can drop to -50° Celsius. Although its fur coat appears white, its hair is transparent and hollow on the inside. The air inside these hairs is warmed by the sun, so that polar bears do not freeze even at icy temperatures.

The German Riding Pony Mare from schleich® HORSE CLUB has a beautiful chestnut coat. The braids in her mane are held together with cute, small ties. These are a special eye-catcher at tournaments. German Riding Ponies are very friendly animals that are specially bred for riding by children and youth. They look like little horses and are suitable for both dressage and show jumping.

Paint horse geldings are especially popular with cowboys because they are more even-tempered than stallions. They also have "cow sense" and are very quick and nimble, especially over short distances, which makes cattle driving a doddle. This makes cattle driving a doddle. Paint horses are versatile, strong-nerved and extremely hardy.

Like all tigers, this one prowls on thick, padded feet...so he can sneak a cookie from the snack jar before dinner. A natural-born predator, he fears only two things: Puppies and the vacuum. Enjoys long soaks in a bubble bath.

The bulls are easy to distinguish from the cows - the horns of males are bent forward almost horizontally. The horns of females are significantly longer and curve upwards.

The Selle Français mare is on the look-out for an adventure today. Maybe someone wants to ride out with her? Then she could gallop across meadows and jump over fallen trees. You can tell right away that this fiery Mustang stallion loves his freedom. Look at him standing firm, snorting his nostrils. What do you think he can smell? It must be the whiff of adventure, because he looks ready to gallop off. If you swing on his back like an American Indian, without a saddle, he'll gladly take you along!

This beautiful Andalusian mare is the darkest black. She is one of the purebred Menorcans, a special type of Andalusian horse that is usually white. Doesn't she look beautiful, the way she sets down her hooves? Her thick mane is particularly striking. It falls elegantly over her neck when she lowers her head. She is already waiting impatiently! When will she finally be saddled and taken out of the stable to go for a ride? After all, the weather is just perfect!

The alligator is a dangerous predator with exceptionally strong jaw muscles. Only the white shark can bite harder than him. The interesting thing: Only the muscles that close the jaws are extremely strong. The muscles that open the snout are so weak that they can be closed with simple tape. Compared to the saltwater crocodile, alligators are smaller and much wider. They live only in rivers and lakes in the south-eastern part of the United States and China.

The Pura Raza Española Mare from schleich® HORSE CLUB enchants with her long, flowing mane that is typical for this horse breed. Her similarity to the Andalusian horses is no coincidence as the Pura Raza Española, or PRE for short, are a breeding line within the Andalusian breed. They have been recognized as a separate breed by the Spanish breeder's association since 1912. You can therefore say that all PREs are Andalusians but not all Andalusians are PREs.

White tigers are breathtakingly beautiful. They have a snow-white fur and strong, bright blue eyes. They differ from normal tigers because fur, skin and eyes cannot form red and yellow pigments. However, they are not albinos, for those always have red eyes. White tigers usually live in zoos because in the wild they would have little chance of survival. Because their fur is missing the camouflage, prey would discover them quickly and run away early enough.

The friendly Haflinger mare trots happily across the meadow. Does she want to go for a ride today? Why else has she dressed up so finely? Doesn't she look pretty with the red bow in her white mane. The domestic donkey comes originally from the African donkey. It copes well with hot temperatures and makes little demands on its food. It is often described as stubborn and stupid when he stops for seemingly no reason at all and refuses to move on. However, the opposite is the case. Donkeys cannot run as fast as horses, so it would be senseless for them to flee in panic in a dangerous situation. They first try to consider if they are actually in danger and if so, what would be the best escape route.

With lions, it is almost exclusively the females that go hunting. Many of their prey are faster than they are, so these predators first creep up to a few meters from different sides and then sprint towards their prey. Even though the lionesses usually do the hunting, the males are always the first ones to eat.

The larger the mane of a lion, the more frightening it is for intruders of its territory, which it defends. Lions are the only ones who hunt together in prides - although this task is usually left to the lionesses. Since they are not very fast, unlike the cheetah, they use their strength as a pride. They prowl from different directions, circle their prey and use the element of surprise. That way they can kill large ungulates such as wildebeest and zebras and even buffalos and weak elephants.

The Harpy looks impressive with its dark plumage and the striped feathers on its legs. But watch out: Its feathery crest is sticking back which should be a warning! It means that the large bird of prey is on high alert. What do you think it has spotted? The Harpy may be about to set off on a hunt. With its powerful claws it can even kill monkeys and carry them away! But it also lets friends carry it around and will even feed from your hand!

The chameleon is perfectly prepared for life in trees with its clawed feet and strong curly tail. So it can cling to branches with its body without being blown down by the wind. Of course it can also camouflage itself by adapting the color of its scaly skin to the tree or rock it happens to be sitting on. But sometimes it changes color when it wants to attract attention. Can your chameleon grab your attention like that?

The long hair of its mane flows luxuriantly over its back as it canters along. The proud Friesian Stallion is black as night and, with his stately size, he draws admiring looks wherever he goes. He looks especially proud out in the pasture with his cute Friesian Foal (sold separately). This big, strong horse is gentleness personified and very reliable. The Friesian Stallion prefers to stay close to people he can trust.

The Badger from schleich® WILD LIFE is a nocturnal predator of the marten family. The black and white coat, long snout, stocky body and short sturdy legs are other features of this animal. Badgers live in hilly forest areas of Europe and feed on earthworms, insects, rodents, grains and berries. Badgers use their powerful paws to dig extensive branched funnel systems underground, which are used over generations.

The Platypus from schleich® WILD LIFE is one of the few egg-laying mammals. It is native to Australia. It lives in rivers and lakes, feeding on prawns, insects and worms. Its wide bill looks similar to that of a duck. The bill senses the electrical signals of other animals and allows prey to be tracked down. Compared to other mammals, the Platypus has a very low body temperature of only 32 degrees Celsius.

The Emperor Penguin from schleich® WILD LIFE is the largest and heaviest penguin species. It is also unique for living so far south in Antarctica. Emperor Penguins don't build a nest, instead brooding directly on the ice. After laying an egg, the female goes back to sea to hunt for fish, leaving the male to look after the egg. He places it on his feet and incubates it under his abdominal crease.

Giant tortoises are large and can weigh over 400 kg. Like the giant tortoise from schleich® WILD LIFE, they have short but powerful legs that they use to move around in the search for fresh grass and herbs. The reptiles can reach an impressive age and often live more than 100 years in the wild.

Koalas are quite the sleepy heads. They spend about 14 hours each day taking extensive naps. The rest of the time, they are busy eating eucalyptus leaves. They consume about a kilogram of them every day. They are very picky and will only go for 12 of the about 300 eucalyptus species.

The Mangalica pig wanders around the enclosure, ears bobbing. It squeaks energetically. I wonder what it's up to? It stretches its snout into the air and has a sniff. Its snout wiggles back and forth. What's that smell? Acorns! The woolly pig snuffles around in the earth and before you know it it has hit on some acorns! They are a real delicacy! It grunts with relish and crunches the nuts with its strong jaws. Yummy!

The Hyacinth Macaw skillfully clings on to the bark of the tree. With its powerful claws and the help of its beak, the parrot climbs up the tree trunk in no time at all. I wonder where it's going? Ah, it's spotted some delicious nuts hanging up high in the tree! One of its favorite dishes! The beautiful Hyacinth Macaw has bright blue plumage with golden yellow skin around its beak and eyes. It contrasts beautifully with the iridescent plumage!

Where’s the cute Paint Horse foal off to now? You can tell that it has a plan, because it has pricked up its pointed ears and looks ready to go. Full of determination it points its dainty hooves and trots across the pasture. Flaring its nostrils, it sniffs the air. I wonder what it’s up to? Maybe it has caught a whiff of a tasty carrot somewhere? The foal comes closer. Surely someone will give in and let it have a tasty snack, as a reward for being so determined?

White-tailed does can see and hear very well, but rely mainly on their sense of smell and their speed. They are very agile and can sprint up to 48 km/h. Their grey-brown winter coat isn't just camouflage against predators. Because the hairs are hollow, they also store body heat very efficiently.

Killer whales are also known as orcas and are actually part of the dolphin family. The animals are easy to differentiate from other whales thanks to their distinctive colouring: While the skin on their back is pitch-black, their bellies are a bright white, as you can see on the killer whale calf from schleich® WILD LIFE. After just a few months the calves start hunting for their own fish, marine mammals and sea birds.

Zebra foals can run with the herd just 20 minutes after birth. In the first days, however, the mare stays very close to her foal, so that it can acquaint itself with her scent, appearance, and voice. Zebra foals don't just have a mane on their neck. Its continues along their entire back, up to their tail.

Dolphins are quick, agile swimmers, often jumping impressively over the water surface. Underwater, they produce high-pitched whistling and clicking sounds to create echoes. That's how they orient themselves and track down prey. Dolphins are very social and often seek physical contact with their families.

Tarantulas are among the largest spiders in the world. In contrast to many other spiders, they do not spin a web, but lay in wait for their prey - especially frogs, mice and birds. People don't have to be afraid of them. Tarantulas may have a strong bite, but they are good-natured, and their venom is weaker than that of bees.

Hippos are large, heavy herbivores that live near rivers and lakes in Africa. Calves are often born in the water and can even be suckled underwater. At birth the hippopotamus calves already have strong legs, just like the ones from schleich® WILD LIFE, and can walk soon after being born. After a couple of weeks the impressive, tusk-like canine teeth of these mammals start to grow.

Besides walruses and sea lions, the various types of seals include, of course, common seals. They don't spend much time on land, and usually swim in the icy waters of the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean. While hunting for fish and shellfish, common seals dive 200 m deep and can hold their breath for up to 30 minutes.

The red panda is a small mammal that lives in the eastern Himalayas and south-west China. It eats mainly bamboo. In the same way as the red panda from schleich® WILD LIFE, at first glance the animal looks like a cross between a raccoon, a fox and a cat. And despite its name it isn't a panda. A new animal family was created for the red panda, with the scientific name Ailurus.
